City of Newton and Jasper County Offices will be closing early or be closed all together today and tomorrow for Christmas. The Newton Public Library is closed today, while the Newton Sanitary Landfill will close at 1 p.m.  and all other Newton City Offices will close at 3 p.m. All Newton City Offices, the library, and the sanitary landfill will be closed on Christmas Day, and the library will also be closed on Thursday. All Jasper County Offices are closed today and tomorrow for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
