The PCM School Board has unanimously hired Aaron Becker to be the District’s next superintendent. Becker currently serves as superintendent of the Hampton-Dumont Community School District in north central Iowa. He has more than 20 years of experience in Kindergarten through 12th grade leadership and instruction. That experience includes serving as the principal at Fairfield High School.

PCM Board President Ryan Vanderkamp announced Becker’s hiring following a special school board meeting Monday morning. Becker will officially start work as the PCM Superintendent July 1st, 2025.

Becker and two other finalists interviewed with the PCM School Board last Thursday, December 19th. The other two finalists were Tony Hiatt, the director of elementary education in the Pleasant Valley School District, and Justin Jeffs, the principal of Kate Mitchell Elementary School in Ames.
