After working on expanding IMU Fiber over the last several years, Indianola Municipal Utilities will work towards upgrading their equipment over the course of 2025. IMU General Manager Chris Desplanque tells KNIA News a project will focus on providing better fiber internet.
‘I think the big areas we are concentrating on is internal infrastructure upgrades. That is probably something the individual customer is going to notice, as we do those we tend to do those from 3-4am. But we have new multi-gig equipment being installed. We have a couple of those cards already up and ready to accept customers. We are doing some testing on multi-gig speed, and as soon as we can develop the process and correct provisioning to get all that working over our existing infrastructure we will be able to offer multi-gig speeds to our customers.”
