The Newton Sanitary Landfill is again offering free live Christmas tree drop-off service from today through Saturday, January 4th. The landfill is located just south of Newton on Highway 14. 

Newton residents who are unable to get their live Christmas trees to the landfill, can set them on the curb for pick up on their regular garbage collection day the week of January 6th to January 10th. Dodd’s Trash Hauling will handle the pick-up.  Any questions should be directed to the City of Newton Sanitary Landfill at (641) 792-3866.
