The Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad won its first game of the season last week over Diagonal and a change to defense may have been a key to the Sabers’ success. Coach Kale Rodrigues tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they started the year in man-to-man defense, but have switched to a one/two/two zone and he has liked how the guys have responded.

Rodrigues: “Now they’re flying around and rotating and pushing. When we were in man, we were in a box. Now it’s with a zone they’re all over and it looks really good.”

The Sabers return to action January 9th at Collins/Maxwell.
