The Indianola and Norwalk boys basketball teams are in a dogfight for the top of the Little Hawkeye Conference heading into 2025, with both teams sitting at 2-1 and behind 2-0 Dallas Center Grimes.

The Warriors have an impressive conference win over Pella and also defeated Pella Christian before falling in a defense heavy matchup to Indianola and are 4-3 on the season. Indianola fell to Newton in overtime in their conference opener shooting just 37% from the field, but then rebounded to defeat Oskaloosa and earn their most impressive win in the last two years with their 37-32 win over the rival Warriors.

Norwalk will have a chance to climb atop the conference standings to being 2025, hosting the first place Mustangs on January 7th, while Indianola will take on Southeast Polk and Carlisle in non-conference action before themselves facing off against the Mustangs on January 10th.
