Iowa Speedway will host the 2025 Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner. The event will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 18th at Iowa Speedway’s Newton Club. Hy-vee in Newton will cater the dinner, and there will be drinks and live music.

Several awards will be handed out during the evening. The Key Award is presented to an individual or group for exceptional work on a specific community project or event within the past year. The Community Service Award recognizes an individual’s long term involvement in community betterment projects through activities such as church, civic, or community service.  One large business and one small business will receive a “Local Business Champion” award. The large business nominees are Walmart, Gregg Young Auto Group of Newton and MCG-Mahaska Communication Group. The small business nominees are Eye Care Center of Newton, First Newton National Bank, and Ryan’s Tire and Auto.

Newton Chamber of Commerce members who plan to attend the Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner are asked to make reservations. The cost is $50 before the Monday, January 6th deadline, and $75 after that date.
