New Interim City Manager Wade Wagoner will have a lot of work ahead in the new year, guiding the Indianola City Council to selecting a new City Manager, in addition to the beginning stages of planning the formation of new city facilities called “Vision 2030.”

Wagoner tells KNIA News his time as Interim City Manager will be marked by making clear already laid out early plans, and making sure everyone is moving in the same direction and on the same timeline.

“It will be fleshing out some of those things with architects that were already in place before I got here. Building consensus within the community, trying to do some fundraising, and getting the Mayor, City Council, and myself on the same page moving forward. Many of the projects moving forward are not cheap, and we need to make sure we are fiscally responsible in how we implement them.”
