Winter sports practices have resumed at Norwalk Community High School, but the next Warrior competition is still more than a week away.
The Norwalk bowling teams will return from the holiday break first, traveling to Ames on Monday, January 6, to compete against Gilbert at Perfect Games. The coed meet begins at 3:00 p.m. The Warrior girls bowlers sport a 3-1 dual record while the boys team is 2-2.
On Tuesday, January 7, the Norwalk basketball teams will return to action, hosting Dallas Center-Grimes in a girl-boy varsity doubleheader at the NPECC beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Class 4A third-ranked Warrior girls are 10-0 overall and 3-0 in Little Hawkeye Conference play. The Warrior boys are 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the LHC.
The Norwalk wrestling teams return to the mats on Thursday, January 9. The Warrior boys will take on Des Moines East, Des Moines Hoover and Marshalltown in a 5:00 p.m. quad meet at East. The team’s overall dual record is 8-3. The Warrior girls will compete at the Nevada Invitational at 5:30.
