Stepping Stones Early Learning Center in Knoxville honored those who made large donations to their “STEP-UP” Capital Campaign with room plaques.

Representatives from Marion County Bank, Weiler Foundation, and Pella Corporation stopped in last week to check out their new room plaques honoring their businesses for making a $50,000+ donation to the center during their “STEP-UP” capital campaign. Marion County Bank was honored with a room being named the “Banker Buddies” room, Weiler has a room now named “Paving Pals”, and a new room is named “Innovation Station” in honor of Pella Corp. 

As the center wraps up 2024, they are also bringing their “STEP UP” capital campaign to an end. Stepping Stones has spent the last year and a half raising funds to help the local child care center pay off the remaining balance on their mortgage. The center is happy to announce that they have been successful in lowering the outstanding balance from $800,000 to $200,000 with the help of local businesses and community members they are proud to call our “friends to the center.”

“To see small business, local business, people in our community step up to help us out is just heartwarming. They know the importance the center plays in Knoxville. They understand the compassion that we have for helping kids get the best start to an education and they want to be part of it. We are blessed to live in a supportive rural community.
