The Marion County chapter of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is holding an envelope fundraiser at Spire Drink Co. in Knoxville. 

The organization is seeking community donations in order to continue providing free books in the mail every month to well over 600 children in Marion County. One hundred and forty  envelopes are for “sale” in every denomination from $1 to $140. Individuals can donate to the fundraiser by making a donation to “buy” an envelope of their choice. All envelopes contain at least one prize donated by a local business. If all the envelopes are sold, the chapter will raise just over $5,000, which will be matched by the Weiler Foundation. Donations may be made via cash, Venmo, or check. 

A large list of local businesses have contributed to this fundraiser. Dolly’s Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading and learning in children from birth to age five by gifting high quality books, free of charge, to families. Enrolled children receive one age-appropriate book every month, mailed directly to their home. All children living in covered areas are eligible to enroll.
