The Marion County Conservation Department is holding an Owl Prowl on Saturday, January 11th. The event at Cordova Park will start at 7:00 pm and provides residents an opportunity to join the Marion County Naturalist Karen Johlas-Szalkowski to learn more about Iowa owls and their adaptations. Attendees will then prowl the trail in the hopes of hearing owls. Those attending the event should come dressed for being outdoors and hiking on uneven surfaces and should bring a blanket and flashlight. Limited space is available for the Marion County Conservation Department’s Owl Prowl and those wanting to attend register by following this link.
