The unemployment rate in Jasper County saw a slight increase for the month of November. According to the latest data from the Iowa Workforce Development, the rate went from 3-percent in October to 3.1-percent. There are 17,600 residents employed in Jasper County and 570 seeking work and receiving benefits. Statewide, Iowa’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate also rose to 3.1% in November, which is up from 3% in October, but matches the rate from November 2023.
