Following the graduation of the most successful class in program history, the Pella boys wrestling team has been rebuilding and hoping to gain momentum as the season wears on.
Head Coach Jay Pike says a mix of opponents in terms of size of school and ability has pushed a relatively young team to mature quickly, which he hopes pay dividends on the other side of winter break.
Hunter Smith stands with the most wins for Pella at the break with a 14-3 record, followed by a 13-6 start for Dax Putz, 12-6 mark for Brecken Ritzert, and an 11-4 start for Logan Bruxvoort.
The 2025 portion of the calendar begins for the Pella boys wrestling team with a home triangular with Norwalk and Centerville on Tuesday before hosting Indianola on Thursday, January 9th.
