Kisha Jahner was voted in as the new Marion County Board of Supervisors Chair and Steve McCombs was selected as Vice Chair at Thursday’s annual organizational meeting.

The chair and vice chair positions are selected at the beginning of every year and Jahner will replace Mark Raymie, who is no longer on the board. The new board consists of Jahner, McCombs and now the addition of former Pella Mayor Jim Mueller. It was approved at Thursday’s meeting that the board will continue to meet at 9:00 am on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

Also at the meeting, the board approved their various assignments for representation of board and commissions and approved roughly 25 appointments throughout the county that are due at the beginning of a calendar year. The board will meet for the first time in regular session for 2025 on January 14th.
