The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will travel to Panorama tonight for a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader as the girls wrestling team will compete at the Megan Black EBF Girls Wrestling Invitational.
The Pleasantville girls basketball team is 5-2 on the season and coming off a 70-43 loss to Des Moines Christian in their last game before winter break. The Panthers are 6-2 and lost to ACGC 61-40 in their last contest. The Trojan girls have been led in scoring this season by senior Joelle Johnson who is averaging 18.3 points per game.
The Pleasantville boys team is 2-3 on the season and also lost to Des Moines Christian in their last contest 59-36. The Panorama boys team is 1-7 on the season with their only win coming against Woodward-Granger in the first game of the season. The Trojan boys have been led in scoring this season by sophomore Braylon Bingham who is averaging 26.2 points per game. Tonight’s girls game starts at 6:15 pm with the boys game to follow.
The girls wrestling team will compete in Eddyville alongside 20 other teams. The Trojan girls wrestling team last competed on December 19th at their conference meet where they had three girls make it to the podium. Tonight’s meet starts at 5:30 pm.
