The PCM girls and boys basketball teams routed South Hamilton Friday night in a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.

The #10 PCM girls team went into half with a 39-15 advantage and stayed dominant in the second half beating the Hawks 58-27 in another impressive defensive performance. The Mustangs were led in scoring by Addison Steenhoek who had 22 points Tori Lindsay who had 18. Steenhoek and Lindsay both had four three pointers in the contest. The girls improve to 9-1 overall and remain perfect in conference play at 6-0. 

The Mustang boys had their best defensive performance of the season holding the Hawks to just six points at the half and ending up with a 68-28 win. The leading scorer for PCM was Gavin Van Gorp with 15 points but 11 different Mustangs contributed to the scoring in the win. Coach Tony Ford said he hopes his team keeps the momentum going into next week. The PCM boys improve to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will next compete on Tuesday at Roland-Story.
