The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams defeated Panorama on the road Friday night in a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader as the girls wrestling team competed at Eddyville.
The Trojan girls basketball team beat the Panthers 56-47 to improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Pleasantville girls have already matched their win total from the entire last season. The Trojans were led in scoring by Joelle Johnson who had 18 points and Taylor Perkins who had 15.
The Trojan boys defeated the Panthers 78-51 to improve to 3-3 overall. Pleasantville was up by 39 points at one point in the third quarter and saw ten different players enter the scoring column. Braylon Bingham led the Trojans in points with 35 while Nolan Fichter had 10. The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action today against Lynnville-Sully with the girls game starting at 5:00 pm and the boys game to follow.
The Pleasantville girls wrestling team finished 16th with 28 team points and the Megan Black EBF Girls Wrestling Invite on Friday. Addie Koenig had a fourth place finish at 145 pounds while Amelia Latch finished fourth at 155. The girls wrestling team will be back in action today at BGM.
