During a policy and planning work session, the Pella City Council will discuss the latest with the proposed renovation of the Pella Soccer Complex. City administration believes $30,000 in additional costs are possible, related to concerns over repairs to the irrigation system — which would now total $700,000. Other potential improvements, including the lighting system, restrooms, spectator seating, scoreboard, and tower, could all cost an additional $316,400. Paving the entrance and parking lot would incur another $589,000. The timeline for the renovation, if approved, would take turf repairs starting in the fall of 2025 and continuing into early 2026. Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
