It’s already been a busy first semester for the Pella Middle School student council, and many more projects await students as they return to class this week.

Student Body President Lauren Van Kley is looking forward to a variety of service projects for the group impacting both students and the broader community.

The group of 7th and 8th grade student leaders are currently working on nominating teachers for state awards, creating a tailgate activity for classmates, making pretzels for a cause to support charities, student dress-up days, a teacher appreciation breakfast, activities for the lead-up to Tulip Time, and the “Super Bowl” of Caring to benefit the Pella Food Shelf.
