It was a busy year for Knoxville Community Schools in 2024, including gifting land to the city for a new public safety city hall facility, increased enrollment, budget cuts, closing on district property with Kwik Trip Inc. for a new store, implementing a new language arts curriculum, celebrating the renovation of Randy Wilson Track and the baseball bleachers, adding girls wrestling as a sport and turnover with the school board. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says the priority of the district is the well-being of the students and she is thankful for all the teachers who make that happen.

“Our staff are amazing. They really want to make sure kids are successful, that we are providing opportunities, but we’re also engaging them. Kids can be as active as they want to be and we also want to make sure they have the support they need.”
