The Pella City Council has several action items on its first agenda of the new year. At tonight’s meeting, the council will consider an tax increment financing extension agreement for Prairie Ridge West, accepting of final improvements to Broadway Street near Central College and for the updates to the Tulip Toren, declaring intent to issue debt for various improvement projects–including a new ambulance, an agreement with Pella Regional for medical transport services, and a change order to the Lincoln Street improvement project. A series of zoning change ordinances have second readings as well. During policy and planning, work session discussions will be held about repairs to the current Pella Soccer Complex, upgrading public safety radios, and a variety of other projects coming up at future meetings. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
