The Pella City Council had several action items on its first agenda of the new year. At Tuesday’s meeting, the council approved a tax increment financing extension agreement for Prairie Ridge West, accepting of final improvements to Broadway Street near Central College and for the updates to the Tulip Toren, declaring intent to issue debt for various improvement projects–including a new ambulance, an agreement with Pella Regional for medical transport services, and a change order to the Lincoln Street improvement project. A series of zoning change ordinances had second readings as well that were also approved and ultimately adopted. During policy and planning, work session discussions were held about repairs to the current Pella Soccer Complex, upgrading public safety radios, and a variety of other projects coming up at future meetings.
