Pella Police Chief Shane McSheehy gave the Pella Police Department’s Citizen Commendation Award to the following recipients for their actions during the recent incident where middle school students were assaulted on November 20th:

The juvenile student accused of attacking three others was arrested and charged with three counts of attempt to commit murder, a Class B felony, two counts of willful injury, a Class D felony, one count of assault with intent, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor. He was charged as a minor, so court records are not available related to the matter.
