The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will travel to Colfax-Mingo tonight for a non-conference varsity doubleheader as the boys wrestling team will compete at a quad hosted by BGM.
The Trojan girls are 7-3 overall and are coming off a 47-39 win over Clarke on Monday night. The Tigerhawks are 4-7 this season and beat Belle Plaine 43-16 on Tuesday night. The Pleasantville girls have been led in scoring this season by senior Joelle Johnson who is averaging 17.3 points per game and Taylor Perkins who is averaging 10.3
The Trojan boys are 3-4 this season and fell to Lynnville-Sully 60-36 in their last game on Saturday. The Tigerhawk boys are 2-7 this season and lost to Belle Plaine by three points on Tuesday. The Pleasantville boys are led in scoring by Braylon Bingham who is averaging 26 points. Tonight’s girls game starts at 6:00 pm with the boys game to follow.
The Trojan boys wrestling team will compete at a quad hosted by BGM that will also feature Colfax-Mingo and Montezuma. The Pleasantville boys last competed on Saturday, December 21st at their home duals when they went 3-2 as a team. Returning state qualifiers Zane Mullenix and Tommy Booth still remain undefeated this season. Tonight’s quad at BGM will start at 6:00 pm.
