The Newton girls and boys basketball teams host Oskaloosa tonight in a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader, while the boys wrestling team competes at an invitational in Ottumwa.

The Cardinal girls are 7-3 on the season and 1-3 in the conference after defeating Pella Christian last Tuesday night 43-37. The Oskaloosa girls team is 5-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play, after falling at home to Class 4A #10 Pella Tuesday night 51-44. The Newton boys are 5-3 this season, with a 2-2 conference record. The Cardinals beat Pella Christian 68-51 Tuesday night. The Oskaloosa boys basketball team comes to Newton with records of 3-5 overall and 0-4 against conference opponents. They also fell to Pella Tuesday evening 74-32.

The Newton boys wrestling team will participate in a two day invitational with over twenty schools that starts at 4:30 this afternoon in Ottumwa. The Cardinal boys wrestled this past Tuesday, losing a road dual to Cedar Rapids Kennedy 44 to 27.
