The Simpson College women’s basketball team came away with a defiant 105-54 victory over the Nebraska Wesleyan, collecting its third conference win of the season.
Molly Lutmer and Haley Rasmussen each scored 19 points and went 5-for-7 behind the arc, becoming the eighth and ninth players in school history to surpass 150 career triples. Doryn Paup (14), Taylor Hansen (12) and Lili Duckmann (10) all finished in double-digits as well.
The Storm (7-7, 3-2 A-R-C) took control early in the game, scoring 60 points in the first half while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor and behind the line. Simpson got off to a slow start in the second half but put together a strong push at the end, surpassing the century mark for the second time this season with a layup by Hansen with just over a minute remaining.
