According to statistics provided by Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller, his department had 12,412 calls for service last year, 3,347 community assists, 402 people charged or arrested, 132 motor vehicle collisions, 2,128 warnings, and issued 522 citations. Fuller states that nearly 20% of the time a person was pulled over for a traffic stop, they received a citation. The department had 12 use of force incidents in 2024, with two suspects reporting minor injuries and five officers reporting minor injuries. The department used force less than .001% of the time they responded to a call for service, which is on par with the national average according to Fuller.
