Season passes to Newton’s Maytag Pool are now on sale. The cost for the passes are $50 per person, and will be available for pick-up in March at the Newton Parks and Recreation Office or at the pool when it opens. Newton City Administrator Matt Muckler notes that Maytag Pool just underwent a $1,000,000 renovation. 

“There’s an all new play area for the kids in the shallow end. We have a zipline, new diving board, and new shade structures. It looks updated and looks fresh.”

The daily open swim fee at Maytag Pool is $6.00. Maytag pool will open Saturday, May 31st and close for the season on Sunday, August 17th. Open swim will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. the rest of the week until August 4th.  Starting on August 5th, Maytag Pool will close at 5 p.m. every day.
