Competing for the second time this week, the Pella Christian bowling teams fell to Bondurant-Farrar Saturday afternoon. The Eagles boys dropped their match 2573-2218, while the girls squad was defeated 1778-1644. Pella Christian head coach Rod Blunck said that while both squads came up short of earning victories, he was pleased with how they performed and the improvement they showed. Leading the Eagle boys in the loss was Andrew VanKooten with a 2 game score of 327, followed by Nathan Brouwer at 322, Evan DeJong at 291, and Logan Nunnikhoven at 277. The Pella Christian girls were led on the day by Macy VanDerHart at 275, followed by Bella Pu at 234, Sophie Guo at 217, and AnnaBelle Carter at 195. With the losses, the Eagle boys fell to 1-5 overall on the season while the girls dropped to 0-6. The Pella Christian bowling teams will look to bounce back next Saturday, traveling to Air Lanes Bowling Center in Des Moines for a 9 am match against Norwalk.
