The Norwalk Police Department has provided an update regarding an incident on Monday where a middle school student had a BB gun on the school bus.

An information release by the department states, “On January 13th, 2025 a Norwalk Police School Resource Officer was notified by school personnel that a middle school student was found to have a BB gun while on the school bus. School transportation staff had removed the child from the bus and seized the BB gun. The School Resource Officer initiated an investigation that determined the child did not plan to harm students or school staff. At this time there is no additional danger to other students, staff or the community. The incident has been referred to the County Attorney for review and processing.”
