The PCM girls and boys basketball teams defeated West Marshall at home Tuesday night in a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.
The #11 Mustang girls knocked off the #7 Trojan girls 69-55. PCM was just up by one point at half, but were dominating in the second half to secure the win. Tori Lindsay was the leading scorer for PCM with 20 points as she hit six three pointers in the contest and Lila Milani had 16. The Mustang girls improve to 11-2 overall.
The Mustang boys defeated the Trojans 51-47 after some late game heroics by Gavin Van Gorp who hit a deep three pointer to seal the win. Van Gorp and Cutler VandeLune led the team in scoring with 13 points a piece. The PCM boys improve to 5-7 overall. The Mustang girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action on Thursday against Greene County for make up games.
