Pella Christian Travels to Indianola Tonight For Conference Basketball Doubleheader
Capping off a three-game road stretch this week, the Pella Christian basketball teams travel to Indianola tonight for a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader.
The 5-8 Eagle girls are looking to finish the week with a 2-1 mark, after defeating Knoxville on Monday and falling to Class 4A #6 Dallas Center-Grimes on Tuesday. The 3-9 Indians girls squad is looking to flip the script on their season, after dropping their seventh straight game this winter to Class 4A #9 Pella on Tuesday. The Indianola girls have been led on the year by sophomore Madison Grover and junior Lauren Olson, with Grover posting team-highs of 9.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game and Olson following closely behind with seven points and 5.3 rebounds a contest.
In the nightcap, the 4-7 Eagle boys are hoping to end a four-game losing skid, after falling to Class 3A #5 Knoxville and Dallas Center-Grimes earlier this week. The 2-7 Indians boys team is also looking to stop a four-game losing streak, with their most recent loss coming on a buzzer-beater in overtime to Pella on Tuesday. Indianola is led by the sophomore duo of George Blake and Easton McGraw. Blake is the Indians leading scorer and third leading rebounder with 15 points and 3.3 rebounds a game, while McGraw is the top rebounder and second leading scorer with 7.6 rebounds and 12.8 points a contest.

Pella Christian Bowling Travels to Des Moines to Face Off with Norwalk on Saturday
The Pella Christian bowling teams have their first early wake-up call of the season on Saturday, as they travel to Des Moines for a morning match against Norwalk at Air Lanes Bowling Center. The 1-5 Eagle boys are looking for their second win of the season Saturday morning, after falling in both of their matches against ADM and Bondurant-Farrar last week. The 0-6 Pella Christian girls are searching for their first victory of the winter, after dropping their contests last week to ADM and Bondurant-Farrar. The Warriors boys squad holds a 3-4 overall record entering the match, and are coming off a win over Clarke on Thursday. The Norwalk girls improved to 5-2 on the season Thursday, defeating Clarke for their fourth victory in their last five matches. The Eagles bowling matches against the Warriors Saturday morning in Des Moines are slated to begin at 9 am.
