The City of Knoxville has released their 2024 “by the numbers” statistics.
The city compiled statistics for roughly 25 different areas which include $22.6 million property valuation growth, $650,000 awarded in downtown revitalization, just over 12,400 calls for police department service, just under 64,000 public library checkouts, and roughly 2,000 splash pad visits. Some comparisons from 2023 include community valuation of growth up 5%, fire/EMS calls for service increased by 9.3%, library checkouts increased by 7.2% and street maintenance repairs increased by 74%.
