A policy and planning work session will be held at Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting to further discuss criteria to meet for bids related to three key projects that advanced to that phase at the end of 2024.

The council will continue ongoing discussion regarding construction of a new indoor recreation facility, renovation of the Pella Community Center, and extension of University Street east. This week, that will center around criteria to meet for upcoming bid packages set to come before the council later this year.

There will be more detail given about financial parameters, how private pledges will work, and operating costs for the facilities.

Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting begins with regular business at 6 p.m. in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
