The #6 ranked Norwalk girls basketball team defeated #11 Carlisle Monday night after a 30 point performance from freshman Braylyn Birmingham heard live on 94.3 KNIA. 

The Wildcats led the Warriors 13-11 after the first quarter but Norwalk went on to outscore Carlisle 16-2 in the second to break the game open. The Warriors kept the momentum going in the third quarter outscoring the Wildcats 23-12 to put the game out of reach. Freshman Braylyn Birmingham was lights out in the contest hitting multiple three pointers and consistently getting to the free throw line. Birmingham’s older sister Bailey was also impressive in the win scoring 17. The Norwalk girls improve to 13-1 overall and will take on Ames at home tonight starting at 6:00 pm.
