Following the conclusion of the first rotation in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Pella basketball teams will stay at home tonight against non-league foe Des Moines Christan.

The #14 in 3A Lions (11-3 overall) girls represent a continuation of what is the most difficult span of the winter for the #9 in 4A Dutch girls (11-3 overall), sandwiched between #5 DCG and #6 Norwalk. The two schools have met four times since 2021, with the green and white winning the first three but falling last year.

Pella’s boys (7-5) could see a matchup with 9-3 DMC (9-3 overall) as possibly critical in substate brackets this coming February, as the private school is now also in Class 3A.
