The Pella High bowling teams swept Gilbert on Monday. The Pella boys won their match, 2805-2479, while the girls defeated their counterpart, 2037-1840.
Zander Beckey led the Dutch with a 223 game and a 394 series. Kaiden VanderWal provided a 391 series.
Aurora Rankin led the girls in high game and series with a 171 game and a 314 series. Cami Smith finished with a 159 game and 273 series. The girls also set a new school record with a 214 Baker game. It’s the first 200 Baker game in the program’s history.
Head Coach Bryan Smith says, “Our teams have really hit their stride over the last couple of weeks. The boys have won their last three matches, and I think they are more confident each match. The girls are putting up some great scores each time out too. These kids have been a lot of fun to watch.”
The Dutch next bowl on Saturday in a triangular against Knoxville and Davis County.
