Multiple agencies responded to a crash Friday evening on Highway 92 involving a vehicle hitting an individual.

According to a report by the Iowa State Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 92 when it lost its wheel. A Jeep Cherokee  was traveling westbound when a passenger from the vehicle ran across the highway to retrieve the lost tire and  was struck by the other vehicle. The injured person was transferred to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Clay Township Fire Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, and possibly other agencies.
