The Pella basketball teams begin the second rotation of the winter Little Hawkeye Conference season on a continued homestand, with Norwalk coming to town.

The #10 in 4A Pella girls will try to topple the #6-ranked Warriors, or at the very least, be more competitive than the first matchup that went in favor of the girls in purple by a 70-35 margin on December 6th. Norwalk’s only loss this winter came to #5 DCG on January 7th. Bailey Birmingham is two points shy of 1500 for her career, and younger sister Braylyn is averaging 19 per contest after dropping 20 on the Dutch in the first go-around.

Pella’s boys will try to snap a four-game skid in the series with Norwalk dating back to 2022. The Dutch fell by a 58-54 score in the season opener. The boys in green and white have won four of their last five games, with the only loss coming to conference-leading DCG last Friday in a nailbiter. Norwalk’s Grady Sigrist caused issues against the Dutch defense in December, scoring 28 of the team’s 58 points.

Coverage of the conference doubleheader with Norwalk begins on 92.1 KRLS and Pella Dutch Live at 5:45 this evening.
