The Pella Christian basketball teams begin the second run through Little Hawkeye Conference play tonight, as they host Oskaloosa on Eagle Lane for Homecoming.

In the opening game of the twin bill, the Eagle girls are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since November, after beating Albia 39-31 on Monday. The Indians girls squad is also looking for back-to-back for the first time since early December, after defeating Washington last Saturday 52-44. In their first meeting on December 6th, the Pella Christian girls saw a 27-15 halftime lead slip in a 48-41 loss. In the nightcap, the Eagle boys are looking for their first winning streak since early December, after they defeated Fairfield 65-38 on Tuesday. The Oskaloosa boys are coming off a 56-40 win over Mount Pleasant on Tuesday, and are hoping to string together consecutive victories for the first time this season. The Pella Christian boys defeated the Indians 59-42 in their early December meeting, but senior Wyatt Snyder knows they can’t come into the game overconfident based on the first contest.

“Yeah Osky is really scrappy and they pressure the ball a lot, so we got to be composed and keep moving the ball like we did tonight, and really pressure on defense like we did tonight as well. I feel like we can do a great job and we can shut them down.”

Coverage of Pella Christian’s Homecoming basketball games tonight can be heard live on the KRLS2 stream and viewed on the Pella Christian YouTube channel, beginning with pregame at 5:45 pm.
