A Perry woman who used to live in Marion County has been arrested in connection to the death of an infant under her care back in September.
According to court records, 29-year-old Lacy Jo Eiteman was arrested this week on a warrant and charged with child endangerment resulting in death, a Class B felony, and neglect of a dependent person, a Class C felony.
Eiteman is the biological mother of a three-week old child found unresponsive at a rural Marion County property on September 30th.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office alleges Eiteman had consumed alcohol and used methamphetamine with Jacob Burns, who was arrested on December 31st for child endangerment resulting in death in connection to the same incident.
Police claim both Eiteman and Burns fell asleep in a bed with the baby. The investigation reports the infant was found dead inside of a “makeshift living space” with several bruises.
Burns also faces a series of other charges and has multiple hearings scheduled at the Marion County Courthouse in February.
