The Simpson women’s and men’s basketball team are on the road today to the University of Dubuque for a road doubleheader in American Rivers Conference play, starting the second round-robin of the conference slate. The Storm women are 5-3 in conference, sitting in a tie for second place, and will look to avoid the near collapse they had last time against the Spartans, falling behind in the second half after a double-digit lead at halftime.
The Storm men have work to do if they want to make the conference tournament, with a 1-7 conference record. They fell to Dubuque in the first matchup despite leading for the majority of the first half, but went through a six-minute scoreless streak that saw a two-point deficit turn to 20 in the second half.
The games will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Matt Kincaid on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 1:45pm, with tipoff at 2pm.
