The City of Newton’s cost to have City Hall and the Police Department cleaned is going up almost $4,000 per year. The City Council has approved a new two year janitorial contract with Regal Clean LLC. Starting this Saturday, February 1st, each cleaning will cost the city $15 more. That’s a monthly increase of $325, which amounts to an additional $3,900 per year. 

Newton City Administrator Matt Muckler says Regal Clean has been cleaning City Hall and the Police Department since January of 2022, and has provided excellent service.
