The Knoxville School Board reviewed the district’s emergency operation plan at their meeting Monday night.

The presentation provided to the board included the standard responses to various safety scenarios. The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) created by the I Love U Guys Foundation is the basis for the school district’s system. Upon receiving that information, the board heard the Standard Reunification Method the district will use when needed along with answers for frequently asked questions regarding safety. School Business Manager Craig Mobley said  the presentation was an opportunity for parents and community members to see what is included in the plan.

“We really kind of put together a summary more for parents and community members to see what is included in our plan. We use a lot of information from the I Love U Guys Foundation that is really the protocols for standard response protocol and the standard reunification method used in that. The handout does a lot of explaining in that.”
