The Pella Opera House has announced that their first concert of the new year has been postponed and rescheduled.
The bluegrass band Sister Sadie was originally scheduled to be the first performance of 2025 at the opera house on Friday, but had to reschedule to attend the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where their new album “No Fear” was selected as a finalist for Best Bluegrass Album. Because of the Award show, the concert has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 26th. Pella Opera House Executive Director Cyndi Atkins says they are thrilled that Sister Sadie was chosen as a finalist for the award, and that they were able to reschedule the concert for the date in April.
“We are excited for Sister Sadie and we’re glad they’re up for this Grammy Award for our album of the year for bluegrass, but we’re also very excited that they were able to reschedule their concert for us and come in April and celebrate with us.”
Tickets purchased for the concert on Friday will automatically be transferred to the same seats on the new date. Those who bought tickets for the original date and are unable to attend on April 26th should contact the Pella Opera House at 641-628-8625 to either transfer their tickets to another show or for a refund.
