
A chance to get to the Bluegrass Conference Tournament Championship game for the second straight year is in front of the Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Squad tonight as the Saints play host to the semifinals against Lamoni. The Saints beat Diagonal, pulling away in the 4th quarter to win 60-42 on Monday while Lamoni also used a 2nd half surge to get by Moravia. The Saints and Demons played earlier in the season with Melcher-Dallas getting by 45-42 in a physical game. The Saints struggled with their shooting in the earlier game with Lamoni but had a 46-32 rebounding edge. Ankeny Christian and Murray in the early game at 6:00 with Melcher-Dallas and Lamoni meeting at 7:30, the two winners come back to play in the title game Saturday afternoon. While the girls are playing basketball, the Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas Wrestlers are headed to Nodaway Valley for a triangular meet. The Warhawks will take on the hosts and Southwest Valley starting at 5:30.
