The Indianola and Norwalk girls wrestling teams will travel to separate sites today for state qualifying, trying to make the first ever class 2A state individual tournament. The Indianola squad brings in multiple highly ranked wrestlers as they travel to South Tama, including #1 at 100lbs sophomore Siera Becker, #6 at 105lbs freshman Nora Ohnemus, #2 at 170lbs Jazelle Smith.

The Warriors will travel to Waukee Northwest for a crowded meet that includes the #7 in class 2A and Little Hawkeye Conference rival Dallas Center-Grimes.

The regional champion and runner-up will qualify to the state meet, which will be held February 6-7th at the Xtream Arena in Coralville.

Wrestling starts at 4pm.
