The Knoxville Basketball Squads will head south to Centerville for another South Central Conference doubleheader tonight. The class 3A #4 boys are 14-0 and 11-0 in the South Central Conference. While they were victorious by 27 points on Tuesday over Chariton, Coach Joel Keady says they were not completely satisfied with their play especially on the defensive end of the court and hopes to see improvements on that end tonight.
Keady: “Defensively we weren’t super disciplined in the first half, and they want to get those steals and get fast break dunks. That’s cool for them, but not cool when you give up more points than what you really want to, so back to the basics this week and see how we can improve.”
The girls will have a difficult task going up against the leading rebounding team in the conference. After back-to-back down to the wire losses, the Panthers are looking to get back in the win column. Tonight action tips off at 6:30 with the pregame on your radio home for Knoxville Sports 95.3 KNIA.
