
The PCM girls basketball team defeated Perry Thursday night at home as the boys team came up short in a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.
The #9 ranked Mustang girls were dominant from start to finish, leading the Jayettes 37-5 at half and closing out the game with a 57-10 win. Tori Lindsay led the team in scoring with 12 points coming off of four three pointers. Lindsay now has set the school record for three pointers in a season with 53. The PCM girls basketball team improves to 16-2 overall and 12-1 in conference play.
The Mustang boys dropped their contest to the Bluejays 61-47. PCM led 18-12 at the end of the first quarter but struggled offensively in the third quarter only scoring two points. PCM was led in scoring by Chase Wagaman who had 16 points. The Mustang boys fall to 8-9 overall.
The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will back in action tonight at Nevada for another conference doubleheader starting at 6:00 pm.
